Description:
The disc number is set to empty when a song is added to a collection.
Explanation:
When I add a song to music collection, the disc information is blanked out (or set to null, or something similar). This is most noticeable when the album has multiple discs.
Steps I used to reproduce:
NOTE: I have a document showing the steps below complete with screen shots for each step in case clarification is required.
- Start Plex in Firefox browser:
- Select user, and open my Music library:
- Select the artist “Johnny Horton”. (Because I know this artist has more that one disc in his album.)
- Select the album “The Early Years” (since it has more than one [4] discs)
- Look at the first songs for “Disc 1”. Note that 1 is Smokey Joe’s Barbecue, 2 is Develish Love Light, and 3 is Shotgun Boogie
- Look at the detail of song 1 (Smokey Joe’s Barbecue) and see the disc is set to number 1.
- Add song 20 from disc 3 (Shadows on the Bayou) to a the collection Folk.
- See immediately that song 20 (Shadows on the Bayou) is no longer in the list where it was.
- Scroll to the top and notice it is listed in disc 1. It is after song 12 (Train with the Rhumba Beat) and before song 12 (Betty Lorraine).
- Note also that the order of the songs seems to have changed a little for the songs on disc 1. Lets look at the detail of song 1 Smokey Joe’s Barbecue again. It looks like the Disc value has been changed to a blank/null value.
- Look also at the details of song 20 (Shadows of the Bayou) originally on disc 3. It also seems to now have a blank/null disc value.
- I looked at the songs 2, 7, 10, 12, and 23 listed at the top of disc 1. They also have an empty/null disc value. Songs 2, 7, 10, and 23 came from disc 1 while song 12 came from disc 3.
- Thank you for your attention. I can be contacted at jeff@alkire.net if I can be of further assistance.
