Tracks being skipped

Hi All,

I have a problem that I’ve reported before, but never got a reply as to a resolution. Basically, I’m running the latest Plexamp (3.4.1) on Linux to connect to my Plex server on my QNAP NAS (1.21.2.3943). Most of my collection of music is in flac format, but this doesn’t seem to affect the behaviour as it also happens with mp3’s. I can’t replicate exactly the steps, but it seems if I’ve played an album before, playing it again, Plexamp skips to the last 3-5 seconds of the song. At times it can do this for an entire album without playing a full track. Looking at the log files, when this happens, the following is reported:

I’m not sure why Plex is trying to select an audio stream on a flac file, since there’s only one… This has made my experience with this combination of software almost unusable. Even if I skip back to the previous track, the track goes back to the last 3-5 seconds and I have to click back again to get to the start of the track. The same problems occur with Plexamp on my Android device. I’m more than happy to hand over any and all information that’ll help resolve this.

From my testing, that solution does seem to resolved the behaviour I was seeing with PlexAmp. I’m nitpicking now, but from a software perspective, is there not a variable that should be set to zero that would indicate that the track has been played to it’s completion and on subsequent plays needs to begin from the start?

I think that option is only meant to be used for audiobook libraries.

Most people don’t want to resume a song that they might have last listened to weeks ago from some point in the middle.
