Trailer issues - Unable to connect to content server

If I have any trailers turned on under “Settings/Extras” on my Plex server, I get unable to connect to content server on my Samsung Smart TV. I do have a movie pre-roll video that works fine though. I also have secure connections to “preferred” on my server, and “off” on my TV. And I do have a Plex Pass. Server is run on a Qnap TS-453Be

Any ideas anyone?

I’m having a very similar problem. If “Number of trailers” is not 0 in the Plex app on my Samsung smart TV then the Plex app puts up an error window “There seems to be a problem” and “Unable to connect to the content server” and hangs there. So I cannot watch trailers via Plex on my TV.

There’s a fair amount discussion related to this problem in other threads which do not seem to help in this case. Often when problems like this one occur no level of expertise is of much use. It takes a community effort until someone stumbles across the secret sauce and shares it with everyone else.
