"Trailer not available"-Thread....again

Hi,

this is once more a "Trailer not available" Thread.

I think i did all the right things, but sometimes you are to stupid to see the small things....so, here I am:

MacOS Mavericks Server -> Plexconnect -> AppleTV 3 (un(jail)broken)

I edited the settings.cfg

I created a Website

I configured the DNS

I edited the db.trailers.apple.com and the 0000_any_80....

(see attachments)

I had it configured a few months ago but had to reset my hole server. Now it is not working...I already repeated the setup-process three times...

What makes me curious: As you can see in the "Terminal-Attachment", when the ATV is asking for the Trailer-site, i can see that in the Terminal...so the DNS-Setup seems to be ok...

Just to lokalise the problem....

I would be very grateful, if somebody could help my....I'm starting to freak out.....

And by the way, is there a way to make Plex and the https-version of the Website work? I have the Issue, that I can not have both...I guess because the Plexconnect is capturing the 443 Port, right?

Thanks a lot

Jens

You ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse statements need to point at the IP:Port of the machine running PlexConnect.

you can see a working example here (minus the ssl)

changed http://trailers.apple.com:9999 to http://192.168.199.2:9999 in the 0000_any_80....-> nothing changed....

just to get it clear: Usually the ATV asks the DNS-Server for the Adress of "www.trailers.apple.com" -> our DNS Server tells him, 192.168.199.2

ATV asks 192.168.199.2 at Port 80 to show him the site data -> our "Website" (0000 any 80....) routes the question to the plexserver, waiting at port 9999 on the same machine...

the machine answers at 9999, our "0000_any_80...." routes the answer to port 80 at the ATV.

Did I miss something?

If I am right, the Answer of Plex (seen at the Terminal) indicates, that we reach the last part....only the ATV doesn't want the answer.....which could be a certificate manor....

I'll try that this evening....

Any other conclusions?
