Trailers and extras very slow

I’ve setup a Plex Media Server with Plex Pass. All my trailers and extras are visible on both my web application and my Apple TV 4. I have a rather slow internet connection (around 8 Mbps). I know this is not much, but it actually works fine for streaming Netflix, YouTube and Plex movies (720p through Direct Play). However, Plex Trailers and Extras are loading extremely slow (>5 min for a trailer). I’m talking about the automatically added trailers, I don’t have any local trailers (and I don’t want them locally).

On the web application, I tried playing with the ‘online quality’, this doesn’t change anything.
On the Apple TV 4 application, I don’t even see a ‘online quality’ option.

Is there any way to fix this? (Apple TV is most important for me)

Yep, it sucks. Can only put it down to servers hosting the content as it repeatedly happens during evenings here. All other streaming services run without a hitch. Great feature idea, poor execution.
