Trailers not playing (Without Plex Pass)

Hi!

So i’m not a plex pass user, and i’m trying to play 2 trailers before a movie start.

I followed the manual and everything is up to date, i activated the trailer options on server and on clients. I don’t use any other tool than the web player and the LG Plex APP (And today i tried OpenPHT). With this 3 players (configured to play trailers), when i hit play to a movie, it directly starts the movie, and there is no intention to play another thing than movie.

I can see the trailers inside a movie because there is the icon of the trailer, if i play the trailer it works fine.
i’m using the -trailer at the end of the file name.

Everything is up to date, server and clients configured to play 2 trailers from non-seen movies (and of course i have movies unwatched with trailers to test), i scanned the library again, trailers works on every player if i start it manually. There are no trailer errors or intention to play it when i start a movie, the movie start fast and smooth but nothing about trailers.

What more i can do?

2 things:

  1. the number of trailers to be played needs to be set directly within the app which is used for playback

  2. trailer are ‘matched’ according to the age-rating which their main movie has.
    So you need to make sure that you have

  • unplayed movies
  • with trailers
  • with the same age classification

I’d remove the requirement for ‘unplayed’ movies, to increase the number of available trailers for initial testing.

Ok solved, i didn’t know that it uses age classification to play trailers… I think they must put an option to use age classification or not (play all trailers). And as i’m from spain the 95% of the movies didn’t received any age classification, and cause this trailers didn’t started. I configured it to get age classification from United States, and now every movie have this info…
