trailers unava. GDM not finding PMS, Self_ip looks wrong...

  • ATV3 5.2.1

  • ATV DNS set to 192.168.2.26

  • PlexConnect installed on MacMini 10.8.4 (IP:192.168.2.6)

  • The device and operating system (including version number) that PlexConnect is installed on:

  • PMS installed on above mac, OSX10.8.4 (IP:192.168.2.26)

  • Media is on NAS (PMS via other clients)

  • PlexConnect downloaded from Github today approx 17:00

  • settings.cfg file reads

[PlexConnect]

port_pms = 32400

enable_plexgdm = True

ip_dnsmaster = 8.8.8.8

ip_webserver = 0.0.0.0

loglevel = Normal

enable_dnsserver = True

ip_pms = 192.168.2.26

port_webserver = 80

 

  • Log file attached

  • A detailed description of the issue (the clearer you can make this the better):

firewall is turned off (temp)

enable_plexgdm seems to fail, even though there are 2 PMS servers on the network

IP_self shows 10.5.2.66 which seems way wrong, but i don't figure where this is coming from?

IP of ATV is 192.168.2.25

 

error i'm getting is Trailers are unavailable etc...

i think i need to figure why IP_self is wrong, any ideas?

You ATV DNS needs to be set to the machine running PlexConnect.

And there is no log file attached.

Hi All,

so after trying to fix this doing all the normal complex stuff I've rebooted both the switch (24pt prosafe smart Gigabit switch) and the router (draytek 3200)

and now the self_ip correctly identifies itself, and all works fine even the enable_plexgdm, thus not needing to manually set the pms ip.

all good, works a treat thanks all.
