Trailers Unavailable. ATV3 2013 ( ios 6.1 ) + Mavericks 10.9.2

Hi all, 

to start, just a big thanx to your work, The Plex Team, for what you've done and for the time you spent with each one of us "noobs" who try to make it work... 

To summarize my problem, it's in the title.

But to be more accurate : 

I have access to my Plex Media server and library through my ATV3, as it displays the name of my 2 folders created in my Plex Media Server, and all the movies ( Titles + covers ) are there in the folder at the first time. 

But then, if i try to play one, the ATV loader + the wording : " Accès au bandes annonces en cours " ( i guess in english is : " Trying to reach trailers" ) stay displayed for a long long time, and then come the fatal words " Trailers unavailable".

And then, if i try to navigate anew in my plex library , even just staying in the folder and  displaying movies cover is impossible. At every move the same thing happen : " Trying to reach trailers" > " Trailers unavailable, try it later"

 

• ATV3 2013 ( Even bought in January 2014 ) with Firmware 6.1

• DNS Server on ATV : 192.168.0.16

• The local IP address of my MacBookPro where is installed PlexConnect  : 192.168.0.16

• PlexConnect intsalled on : MacBookPro Retina 15" 2.6 Ghz i7 + Mavericks 10.9.2

• PMS on : MacBookPro Retina 15" 2.6 Ghz i7 + Mavericks 10.9.2

• PMS 0.9.9.7 running through Chrome on my MBP.

• The local IP address of PMS : 192.168.0.16

• PlexConnect Version :  0.3.1+   Folder downloaded on Github on 19th March 2014 ( 12:50 )

• Settings.cfg :

I didn't reproduced exactly the same issue in this log, as when i tryed to do the same, this time i did not have anything at the first time i open the Trailers icon in ATV. I had directly the message " Trailers unavailable"

throw your settings.cfg away and use the defaults ;)

altering ip_dnsmaster to 192.168.0.16 is the issue, if that solves it you can adjust it to reflect your ISP's DNS server.

Thx f00b4r,

it worked  fine, just the time i played 2 or 3 movies, navigating in my two folders in Plex Media Server.

But then, same as my first issue : coming back in another folder, and the loader with "Reaching trailers" is the only thing i can see for 10 mn. And then , i try to get back to main menu ( AppleTV), and try anew to get in the trailers section, and then i it's the loader again ( with no folders, no covers available ), and finally "Trailers unavailable, try it later"... As if i was losing my connection to plex media server higher and higher in the tree.

But as it seemed that throwing the Setting.cfg worked, i guess the other half of your solution is the good path.

But i'm a real noob and i'm not sure what you mean and what i have to do ? What's ISP's DNS server ? 

is that command that give me the good ip : cat /etc/resolv.conf  ?

The result gave me 2 IPs following each other.

And if yes, i have to set it in my Settings.py and AppleTV manual DNS   ?

Try doing what i say and then reboot your aTV ;)

I've tested few things as i wasn't sure of what you meant , but finally i think i found it :  in the Settings.py, i've replaced my IP device by the IP of the DNS server.

And now it seems to be ok
