Still having the same problems and I cant seem to fix it looking through other forums and all.
This is my settings:
[PlexConnect]
port_pms = 32400
port_webserver = 80
ip_plexconnect = 0.0.0.0
certfile = /users/murdoch/desktop/plex1/plexconnect-master/assets/certificates/trailers.pem
ip_dnsmaster = 8.8.8.8
loglevel = normal
enable_dnsserver = True
logpath = .
ip_pms = 192.168.178.10
enable_plexgdm = True
hosttointercept = trailers.apple.com
port_ssl =
443
enable_webserver_ssl = True
prevent_atv_update = True
port_dnsserver = 53
enable_plexconnect_autodetect = True
The only thing I changed was the cert and I just changed it to the direct path.

No... he wants you to read that: https://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/69410-read-before-posting/
In short:
- more info about your setup
- no pasting screenshots, no pasting terminal output. Attaching files is great.
- loglevel=High might help as well

Don't understand I read the sticky
I gave you the ATV version, the topic says win 7, ip 198.168.2.11,router 198.168.2.1,DNS 198.168.2.27 I have seen other topics that say latest update I had to attach a file so people could see the whole thing.
If I have missed something please tell me what and I can fix it.

Read the link and provide ALL the requested information in the template - it is there for a reason - you cannot have read the link as you have missed out large chunks of info and put things like “latest” which are specifically called out as useless.

Windows 7 64bit OS
Python 2.7.6
Plex 0.9.8.10
ATV3 6.0
ip 198.168.2.11
router 198.168.2.1
DNS 198.168.2.27
Plexconnect is the newest version which is 6.0?
My atv3 is on when I close Python. Tried it many times still opens with the same lines when I open my log

PlexConnect has no real versions. I guess we are stuck at 0.2...
Restart your aTV.
If you then get all the Apps on your home screen, but no messages in PlexConnect, your aTV DNS is not set to PlexConnect...
Now when I restart I have to resign into itunes but with the dns from my comp it doesnt work would that mean its not set to PlexConnect?

How is iTunes related to all this?
when I have my dns on auto it logs in but with the manual it doesnt but w/e just throwing things out. Just wondering when I go into plex/web and under settings I have a ! beside myplex saying There was a problem connecting your server retry
the trusted folder and I got the pop up asking me if I am ok with it. Other people on other forums have suggested to type in an ip address to see if the cert works properly.
am I going to have to restart this again...
I Started from fresh and same thing. When I go to browse on my comp and type 192.168.2.27 I don't get the warning just "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage " this be part of the problem?

I don't know how IE would react... you should at least see a note of Error 403 occurred.

Delete the Python rules and make inbound rules for both UDP and TCP for Python.exe
now when I am making the new rule do port 443 and port 80 go with a certian tcp or udp? I left both as any.
