Trailers unavailable Windows 8

Hello All.

Not having much luck here. The system was on Win 7 x64 running old PlexConnect and was running fine. I didn't use it for a few months and decided to upgrade to Win 8 and go for the new PlexConnect but no matter what I try, I get the Trailers unavailable error on the ATV3. I don't get any errors as such but no connection either. I've tried with GDM and with the PMS IP used manually. If one of you could take a look at the config for me please.

PC Info:

I've a feeling that I've missed something very simple but the more I look, the more I can't see it.

Oh and Latest release PMS is running

>>logpath = .ip_pms = 192.168.178.10

Your settings file is messed up... we need a "automated Settings Content Check"!

You should - at least - see some DNS requests from aTV. Does it work normal, other than the trailers?

Check your firewall settings, for PlexConnect/Python. Allow in-/outbound network access, at least to port 53, 80, 443.

Hi Baa, thanks for the reply ;)

Not sure why but PlexConnect always seems to throw that IP address in my configs. I was testing from work that's why the DNS requests were missing but I was looking for it using GDM as I thought that was the problem. As for firewall, I had fully disabled it.

Anyway....

I said that it would be something obvious and it was. On the cert creation (Step 3) where it says something like "and the word "type" is part of the command.. well I think I missed that bit the first time round. So started from scratch and this time RTFM properly and it worked perfectly.
