Is there a way to only transcode video and just copy the audio?
Using Kodi on a Minix Neo X8-H for playback. The problem is that quite some movies have a video codec that it doesn’t play back properly, then it just shows a frame every now and then. Transcoding fixes that. But then it also transcodes the audio which I don’t want, because my audio system can handle the original AC3 and DTS just fine.
For those interested, I have it working now. Initially I made a new PleXBMC profile since I’m using the Kodi plugin for playback, but for transcoding it seemed to use the Plex Home Theater profile regardless. Modified the TranscodeTargets audioCodec settings in there to have the following:
<TranscodeTargets> <VideoProfile protocol="hls" container="mpegts" codec="h264" audioCodec="ac3,eac3,dca,aac" context="streaming" /> <VideoProfile protocol="http" container="mkv" codec="h264" audioCodec="ac3,eac3,dca,aac" context="streaming" /> <MusicProfile container="mp3" codec="mp3" /> <PhotoProfile container="jpeg" /> </TranscodeTargets>
Now it won’t transcode the audio when it already has one of those codecs.
