Transcoder doesn't throttle (Chromecast 2)

Server Version#: 1.22.3.4392 (Windows)
Player Version#:Chromecast 2 (Cast 1.49.250946), initiating playback from PLEX Web v 4.54.5

Hello.
I’ve recently discovered that whenever I cast a video with srt subtitles to Chromecast 2, transcoder never goes into “throttled” mode (“Transcoder default throttle buffer” is set to default value=60). Moreover, when the “Transcoder temporary directory” fills up (I’m using 5gb ramdisk), playback fails. When playing the same video without subtitles, transcoder throttles and it manages to delete old chunks when the ramdisk is full (I’ve played 10+ gb movies successfully, despite ramdisk being only 5gb).
Would it be possible to make transcoder work the same way with subtitles as it does without them? On Plex Web and Android app it seems to be working fine, so far only Chromecast has this issue.

Thanks

Please provide your PMS logs so we can check why it isn’t throttling.

Thanks for reply. Sure thing, I can provide them. Should I just replicate the problem, go to Troubleshooting/Download Logs and upload the whole zip file, or copy the text from the Console tab? It’s my first time submitting logs.

Yes, that would be best.

Ok thanks. I can see what it’s doing. Let me check with the team to see if the behavior should be different with subtitles.
