Transcoder errors in latest server build

I did the server update tonight, and now my cpu is going nuts with plextranscoder.exe and easyaudioencoder.exe
Can someone tell me whats going on?

It’s NON STOP SPEWING these errors since the upgrade, all night, this is just from right now and only what i cut and pasted

I’m having a similar issue with the new version. I haven’t looked into what the transcoder is doing, however I’m noticing the Plex server crashing on transcoding (Plex icon disappearing in the sys-tray). I downgraded to the old version, and I’m not seeing the issue anymore. However the old version has an issue with “art work” on shows and movies randomly not showing. Restarting the Plex server application resolve the issue temporarily. Looks like these updates are starting to be super buggy again…

unfortunately It looks like there were so many that the logs rolled over and I cannot find the start of the transcode session to see how it started. I don’t see the errors in the more recent logs.

Were you actively playing something while it happened ? or do you know if it was transcoding files for optimization, downloads or something like that?

I went to bed and woke up like 2 hours later to the drive thrashing figuring it was generating intros or something but when i woke up 5 hours after that it was still going and my cpu was pegged at 4.7 with those errors non stop streaming. I let it keep going while I went to the gym for another 3 hours and when I came home the logs were all white with the transcode stuff gone.

But no one was logged on watching anything. the ONLY thing I did was delete 700GB of a tv series I was never going to watch and rescanned that library. Everything looked okay when I went to sleep.

First, what kind of baller had a 1581? Fancy-ass.

That’s 875,000 of your namesake floppies.

If you swapped them once a minute, continuously, it would take 600+ days to reach 700 GB.

Since it started when you went to bed I would have guessed it was one if the scheduled tasks but it continuing after those are set to end should rule those out.

I had a 20MB lt. Kernel too. I ran a bbs in 87-88

Will do.
All seems calm tonight though, I’ll let you know when I wake up at 4am eastern and see whats going on.
