Extact same issue here (Proxmox, Threadripper 2920x 64Gb ram with a fresh Plex install in a FreeNass).
Using subtitles SRT. Playing in original quality over ethernet.

Update 1:
Thought it was a permission problem as I couldn’t also transcode an optimized version so I’ve followed https://www.ixsystems.com/blog/plex-permissions/ and it recovered for a while…
but
Update 2:
Again the same issue, with or without subtitles and actually with a new thing… Now if I pause the movie and back to the menu, (so not playing) gives the same error…
Well, back to the logs…
