Transcoder Fails 100% - direct play works

Server Version#: latest public, latest beta (tried both)
Player Version#: latest

Transcoder fails to convert - direct play works

problem affects all files - not only one (type)

Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.

Errorcode: s1001 (Network)

what i tried

  • deleting Codecs did not work

/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Codecs

  • conversion of a sample file with plex-transcoder CLI did work

  • all permissions checked (both file-location and transcoder path)

  • tried both; default transcode location and outside plex-library

Did you move PMS to a network share or a non-root volume?

The partition mounted does not have the exec option.
