Hi - not sure when but all of a sudden, i can’t watch ANY film on plex through the TVs. It plays for about 2-5mins and then kicks out and says error on the transcoder. Was working fine a week or so ago. Updated the server, re-installled everything and still not working, any ideas?
See if you can EFI boot from USB and run Memtest86.
Determine if summer heat is cooking your computer.
Check for rat damage.
The log file we need after a reboot and demonstrating the problem is called
Plex Media Server.4.zip (784.3 KB)
Hi
I ran that test, no errors. It’s a 6month old PC, I9 14900k, 32gb ram. Transcoding shouldn’t be a problem consider this has ran fine earlier in the year and fine on my previous pcs.
Hello I sort of wanted Plex Media Server.log
but you provided Plex Media Server.4.log
which is older but may have caught what was happening. I see errors about your D drive. Here are some examples where it can’t read the video file.

Maybe that helps narrow it down a bit. Is your drive spinning down? Sometimes a new computer acting as a server needs adjustments to stop it trying to save power.
Not sure how i’d go about that? Odd thing is it was working. I had some funky problem with the USB drives and re-installed windows (not formatted). So i’m unsure this caused the problem or it was the update.
I’ve updated the server log, still happening.
