Transcoder Process running endlessly on Music Library Scanning

I’m running Plex Server version 1.14.1.5488-cc260c476 on a QNAP TVS-682 NAS.

The QNAP resource monitor shows the Plex Server Transcoder process is running continuously and taking 25% of CPU resources. The Transcoder process has been running continuously for days even though nothing is being played and nothing is being optimized.

The Plex Server dashboard shows the only Activity is the Music Library scanning.

I believe this issue may have started when one of the following changes were made:

  1. I upgraded Plex Server to version 1.14.1.5488-cc260c476
    or 2) When I switched settings to Premium Music Library.

The music library is large with approximately 40,000 songs.

Scheduled Tasks on Plex Server are scheduled to run only from 2AM to 5AM however the Plex Server Transcoder Process is running continuously 24 hours a day for 5 days days so far.

Any advice to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.
