Transcoder uses full CPU while pausing video for a while

Hi all,

wanted to know if someone’s got the same issue and if it’s a known bug.
Didn’t find anything like that via search function. I guess most of the user don’t pause videos for more than a few minutes so that they’ve got no issues.

I noticed these days that if I leave a video on pause for a while (maybe longer that 15min but less than 60min) my servers cpu is used by 90 to 99 % by a plex transcoder process and the cpu fan goes crazy. Sometimes the cpu fan speeds up when I start a video but it stops after a few seconds. If I resume the video from pause it stays at that level. After I close the browser window the transcoder process ends and the cpu goes back to 99-100% idle.
The behaviour of the fan is clear. CPU is used by 100% -> it heatens up -> cpu fan speeds up to compensate. But why the heck is the CPU used for all it’s got on pause while nothing’s gets transcoded?

Facing this issue on a MSWindows server and am using the PLEX web app. The CPU is an Intel Core i5 with 6 cores. Shouldn’t be a performance issue based on the server itself.

Thanks
