C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources\Profiles
на маке путь такой /Applications/Plex Media Server.app/Contents/Resources/Profiles
Картинка будет еще лучше, а нагрузка упадет на минимум!)) но правда не на всех mkv, некоторые все же пожирают ресурсы(( у меня такой нашелся фильм, кто попробует отпишитесь, как у вас будет
Perhaps it was just that video that was having issues. I was able to play it back on iPhone and iPad without interruption.
Watched another ep last night without buffering and started a movie, which played for the first five minutes or so without buffering.
Will keep an eye on it, realising of course, that PlexConnect is still new.
Thanks for the hard work guys!
Well the same video played perfectly on the ATV2 using wifi (not ethernet) - but seemed to cause issues to a movie being watched on the ATV3 at the same time. Once I stopped the ATV2 video, the movie playing on the ATV3 stopped buffering.
Seems to still be a bit hit and miss but I'm still willing to put it down to PlexConnect being new.

Just for clarity, were you using PlexConnect to try and watch a movie/show on 2 separate ATV's at once?
If so this is a known issue, both cannot be used simultaneously currently.

I was this time around - both played but one started buffering after about 5 minutes or so. Previously I was watching just a single video.
I do have 0.9.7.28.33. In Advanced Settings I have checked Enable Dolby Digital During Airplay and Media Downlink Mixing. DD is set to On on ATV. What can be wrong? Have tested with lots of shows and movies. Also tried with two different versions of Plex Connect. One is the iBaa release, the other one with the new movie sections.
I had the same/similar problem, no audio for MP4 DTS 5.1 or MKV AC3 5.1. Eventually, my solution was to turn DD OFF on the the ATV, now the audio works for both.
These are the settings I have to play mkv and avi and the above audio. Some of them may have an affect or not, but it is what I set them as to get everything working. Hopefully this helps.
Plex Connect settings on the ATV:
Force Direct Play - False
Force Transcode - False
Transcode Quality - I have as 1080p 12mbps (but don't know if this is of any affect)
Plex Media Server: Settings --> Transcoder --> Advanced settings
DD during Airplay: Enabled
Media link down-mixing of DTS audio: Enabled
ATV settings:
Dolby Digital - OFF (this definitely got my audio working)
Plex Media Server: Settings --> Transcoder --> Advanced settings
DD during Airplay: Enabled
Media link down-mixing of DTS audio: Enabled
You probably should turn of the down-mixing if you are looking to use multi channel audio.
I have had buffering issues and it has driving me nuts. I run Plex Media Server on a Win7 x64 machine and Apple TV3. All wired network.
I noticed on the server that a process named PlexNewTranscoder.exe starts as soon you start a movie. When you stop the movie the PlexNewTranscoder.exe shuts down.
Right clicking on the PlexNewTranscoder.exe and change the priority to "High" removes the buffering. The only problem is when you stop the movie and start a new movie the PlexNewTranscoder.exe will be started as "normal" priority again. To solve that problem i downloaded "Process Tamer". A program that lets you set rules for processes and you can make PlexNewTranscoder.exe always start with "High" priority.
At least that worked for me, I hope you can understand what i wrote and it will help you get rid of the annoying buffering issue.
