Transcoding over LAN v.s. Wi-Fi

I’m running PLEX to my TOSHIBA Fire TV over LAN and seem to be having issues with automatic transcoding. When I attempt to play some videos, the media starts frozen and I can only get it to play if I set the HD to a specified quality.

I have other TV’s running fire-stick over Wi-Fi and do not have to set quality, the videos automatically play without having to mess with settings. I’m wondering if there are settings I need to set on my NAS, PLEX Server, or Player for the TOSHIBA since this is only giving me trouble over LAN connection.
