Transcoding problem - Hardware Acceleration

I’m getting problem when transcoding 4k HEVC Main 10 HDR, with hardware acceleration enabled. The video stop every 2/ 3 seconds. If I disable the hardware acceleration all work like a charm. My server is a MacBook Pro 15,1 (i9 2,3 ghz) with 16GB Ram. Maybe I’ve wrong settings?

Don’t know Macs but HEVC 10 bit Quick Sync support only showed up in Kaby Lake Intel CPU’s onwards. Also maybe Quicksync for H265 is not supported in MacOSX? hen switching it off your CPU obviously has enough power to just grunt it’s way through transcoding in software. Will load the CPU more but arguably give better quality.
