I noticed today on one of my computers running OPHT that it was transcoding. I checked my settings and it was correctly set to play local files “direct play”. I had the remote play setting as 2 mbps. When I changed the latter to direct play my files then played correctly. It seems that it is not treating the file as a local file, when in fact it is. Perhaps this is a PMS issue, though?
Edit: I tried the same movie on another computer (both Win10) with similar settings (direct play for local and 2 mbps for remote) and it did not lead to a transcoded file. I don’t really care because I can keep the settings such that it will work for me but just reporting it.
