transfer Plex Library and all its info to a new Plex media server on PC

Hi i have a Plex server installed in my NAS DS214play and i have saved my holiday moves in a Television Format Folder USA 2016/California/S01E01.USA2016.California and i had manually applied the background images and Posters for them as well. Now i want to move the whole folder and all its manually edited folders and background images so it can be cloned to my windows 10 PC because lets face it the NAS is getting Slower and can’t pull 4k recorded videos.

How am i able to make a Library cloned to my PC please.

Thanks in advance for any one helping out.

It is not recommended to migrate plex database between different base setups. Library can still be on nas, but I would run a new scan on your windows setup.

Thank you Night for your response how do i set it on my Windows PC so that it can pick up all the manual poster and backgrounds i have applied

Sadly, that is the database, which stores that. You can try to move it, but I suspect it will not work that well.

It depends on whether you can access the file system on the NAS. If you can, see the guide.

This is only half what’s needed.
If the database is moved to a different system architecture, the media paths need to be adapted, or the customizations will be lost.

Unfortunately, this is only for the fearless
