Transfer Plex Pass license to other user

I recently bought a Plex Pass for a year, as the newsletter and website made me believe that I could use the offline sync functionality as a user with this subscription.

Turns out, to turn on this function for a user on someone else’s server, the SERVER ADMINISTRATOR needs a Plex Pass subscription. Not the USER.

Why is this not clearly stated on the website or in the newsletter?? Is there any way I can transfer my subscription to the server administrator’s account?
