Transfer Plex to new machine - Worth the effort?

I’m running Plex on an older machine running Windows 10. I’ve bought a new replacement machine and I figured I could just transfer over all my settings. After reading a few threads about this topic, it appears to be a PITA and most people just end up doing a clean install after wasting time doing to transfer process and it not working.

Anything new on this front? As in, has anyone come up with a simple way to get it done and it actually work like it’s supposed to? Or should I just do a clean install?

Also, I see there are several YouTube videos on this topic, but most are old. Are any of them up to date enough to try to follow? If so, could someone post a link to the best option?

The migration isn’t so much rocket science. It can be tricky if you’re migrating your server across different platforms (e.g. Linux → Windows)… beyond that it’s simply following the procedure outlined in the related support article.
