Transferring data to a new iPhone leaves Plexamp in a Zombie 🧟‍♂️ State

Minor issue that caught me.

Recently bought a new iPhone and after transferring my data/apps to the new phone using the built in transfer to new iPhone feature, Plexamp was left in a zombie state. The app would launch like normal, but it showed a dimmed ghost image of what should be there, just like when your on a slow connection and it’s loading data from the server. All the menus at the bottom worked but were blank where media would normally be. I thought it was a server connection issue but after chasing that for too long, I finally tried to log out and back in again and everything started working.

Best guess is the iOS device to device transfer feature brought the app and its locally cached data store to the new phone but somewhere along the line, some sort of authentication token became invalidated. From a user experience perspective, I would have expected an error and asked to login again.

To reproduce:
-Use iOS built in feature to setup new iPhone by transferring from another iPhone. (Did not use the iCloud backup, was the local direct connection method)
-Allow iOS to automatically install Plexamp from the App Store after rebooting
-Launch Plexamp, loads like normal without asking for authentication, but displays a ghosted out media library indefinitely, menus work but no media.

Out of curiosity, how long have you had Plexamp installed on your device? We’re tracking an issue which sounds similar, but it didn’t seem like many people were running into it.

It was installed on my old phone for a while, installed sometime in 2019-2020.

The bug which preventing sign out when an invalid token was in use has been fixed. Unclear why a transfer is leading to that state, however, it’s kind of confusing.
