Plexamp on iOS — black screen

I managed to get Plexamp on my iPad into a bad state where it only shows a black screen. Force quitting/restarting the app doesn’t fix it. I think it’s related to a disappearing server.

I don’t know what they key repro steps are but this is what I did to kill Plexamp just now.

  1. Have a happy Plexamp iOS app on your LAN
  2. Quit Plexamp
  3. Spin up a new Plex server and turn off the first server
  4. Go out for a beer
  5. Get on public WiFi
  6. Check out Plex remote access via web app and iOS app — all good (web app and mobile app were configured on home LAN and then worked fine outside the home)
  7. Start Plexamp (Plexamp was NOT set up for the new server on LAN so I knew it would need config)
  8. Observe prior server stuff on Plexamp Home Screen, as expected
  9. Go to Plexamp settings to change source
  10. Notice the new server is not listed, hmm
  11. Touch Home
  12. Black screen appears, all UI is gone, Plexamp is dead, restarts don’t help

I’ll file an update when I get back on the LAN.

I believe the issue is fixed in v3.7.1, you appear to be running v3.7.0?

I can’t verify what was installed, but it was probably 3.7.0. I did just verify that the app store had 3.7.1 waiting for me and installing that fixed it. Glad it was nothing new. Thanks!
