Translation not applied

Hi all,

I’ve translated couple of strings on Transifex for Slovak language 2 years ago. Most of the strings are finished and there aren’t a lot of untranslated strings. Most of them are burried in settings and so on. From what I’ve read the reviewer is not needed and the strings should be added when most of the languages have updates.

As this was 2 years ago, shouldn’t this change be already merged?

Many translations for Slovak language are missing. For example Android/Media player and for Website are still not updated. Some strings were translated as far as 4 years ago without any implementation.

EDIT: Slovak translation is available for Android as of version 8.9.0

Upon further investigation I found that file in C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex\web-client\translations\ sk.json actually has the translations in but the translation is not applied.

I found what appears to be a double entry for Slovak in the language list.
Though I cannot tell with certainty, because unfortunately I don’t speak the slovak language.
If I select the first (starting with small “s”), I get a pretty much complete translation of all items in Plex Web.
If I select the second (with capital “S”), I only get a partial translation.

Can you tell if these language selections are actually both Slovak, or whether one of them is referring to a different language/dialect?

That is not a double entry for Slovak language.
The one you highlighted is Slovak language which is not applied. The Slovenščina is Slovenia mother language. It sounds similiar, but it’s not the same.

Thank you for the clarification! It is almost indistinguishable for someone not versed in slavik languages.

So slovenčina is Slovak (sk, slk).
I will forward this information to the right people.

Yes, that’s correct. Thank you.
The translation is also missing on my Android TV. I think something that merges those changes from transifex is not setup correctly.

Hi,
Is there any update for this?
Thanks

Could you name a few strings, maybe with a screen shot which are still showing as untranslated? But which you are sure of, as having them translated already?

I have found the missing translations in server settings, but it is hard for me to recreate this on Android.

Please do also show some missing translations on the website.

I just got word, that the current beta version on Android should have the Slovak translations.

Just a few strings as an example.
“On Deck”: “Rozpozerané”,
“Unplayed”: “Neprehrané”,
“Resolution”: “Rozlíšenie”,
“Folders”: “Priečinky”,
“Recommended”: “Odporúčané”,
“Duration”: “Trvanie”,
“Plays”: “Prehrávanie”,

You can see on the screenshot that it says Podľa Title. The first word is translated while the second is not.

Yes, I can confirm that the Slovak translation does work on Android with the current beta. I will try to install it on my Nvidia Shield to see if there are some missed strings.
Thanks!

Ah, those are filters. They actually come from the server. The server itself doesn’t have Slovak translations “baked-in” at all, yet.
An issue has been filed to incorporate them in future releases.

Ahh, okay.
Thanks for information!

I also found that some Server settings are not translated. Those strings are already translated on Transifex. There are only 52 strings which are untranslted. (Unless it is not the Plex Media Server category)

From what I found, it is: General, Library (can be seen on the screenshot), Plugins, Network, Transcoder, DLNA, Scheduled Tasks, Extras

As an example: Name of the category (Library) is translated to Knižnica but the page itself is not.

Yes, the contents of these pages are all server settings.
Which means they are delivered by the server which hasn’t any Slovak translations integrated at this time.

Right, so even though the translation is on Transifex, it isn’t integrated yet.
Any plans for this as well or not yet?

An issue has been filed to incorporate them in future releases.

Sorry!
I thought that was only for the filters.
Thanks for all the informations!
