Translation, which project on transiflex?

Hello,

I’m using the Plex.app on Mac OSX, as well as the Web UI
and I’ve seen a lot of wrong translations (grammar) to the german language, when chosing

I’m trying to help for the translations of the Plex.app, but I’m not sure, which project to choose on transiflex.

I guess, the “Web clients” project is for translations, when using FireFox or any other browser to view my MediaLibrary,

but which project is for the Plex.app ?

It’s the same project.
However, these ‘sorting’ strings you see there are delivered by the server.
I am one of the main translators to German and I can tell you that these ‘sorting’ strings are already translated.

You appear to be using a server which has broken translations, because they are OK on my installation. (Any chance this is a QNAP?)

The other grammatical errors are caused by the fact that there are simply no ways to support different flexions of these strings.
I will look how this can be improved.

Does this happen when you access your own server or are you accessing a server shared with you?

You’re right, with the QNAP.
I now see the difference in translation, when sorting music from my own windows server or from the shared QNAP server. (I knew the QNAP version is out of date, but did not realize, the translations are too) Thank you!

This one could be done by changing the “ein” to “1”.

All other flexions, well, I see the problem, but I worked in a lot of other projects for translations (but that was in the early 2000s),
and devs then had to code some special cases, like this fantasy code:

IF $days = 1 USE $tanslation(Tag)
IF $days > 1 USE $tanslation(Tagen)
IF $year = 1 USE $tanslation(Jahr)
IF $year > 1 USE $tanslation(Jahren)

You get the idea (and I guess, you had it before too)

Of course, this is additional work and somebody has to do it, but its 2019 and it needs to be done, because it produces a painful impression to german readers

Thanks again!

Ok,
I really tried to understand that transiflex thing/website, but I had no chance to search for words or even the correct project for, say, the IOS app.
There are plenty of things to click, but I found no descriptions which told me, I’m on the right path.
Just wanted to review, maybe improve, some smallish typos, but it took so much time and I did not even found a way to search for a string and then see all translations of it or where they are stored… I guess, I’m too old and things are too complex nowadays.

I found about a dozen small typos (not the ones mentioned above), so hopefully someone will find them too and improve them…

I quit here.

EDIT:
sorry, additionally, something went wrong with all the attachments/screenshots. another sign, that I’m out of the business with translations

I think I’ve found both and have changed them.
