I tried installing both 1.0.3 and 1.6.0.13 from the windows installer (there is no pull down for a rpi3 so I selected rpi2 since it is multi core cpu as well?).
It installs, sets up, and seems to load fine however on gui, all I have access to are repeated categories of “Search” & “Watch Later”. I can move left to administrative options, but unlike my rpi1 ver.B, I do not see my Plex Server, Channels, or other typical expectations from the main interface.
Does anyone have a simple instruction how to correct this?
Yes it went through the wizard fine it seems. I was able to id my wireless network and input my password. I also remember (which seemed not right…) when I was prompted to pre-cache, it was trying to precache, the only servers listed is plex.tv, not optiplex-plex or something that the pms is on. It does appear to have connection to web, although with not much I can do, I can only verify based on the accuracy of the network time. I turned off ethernet just now to ensure only wireless (it’s active).
Sounds like you are using in-built WiFi (ethernet is strongly recommended).
Can I suggest that you refresh the SD card (the RPi2 image supports bothe RPi2 and RPi3), on first run skip the First Run Wizard By continuing to press OK, from the Home Screen, go left and select System Settings. Go to Network, at the bottom select ‘Wait for network before starting OpenPHT’ leave ‘Maximum Wait Time’ at 10 seconds. Go to Connections and select your SSID and enter the password, when connected ‘State’ should be ‘ready’. Exit System Settings.
Your Libraries should be displayed. Sign in to Plex.
Change your Preferences to suit your environment and then run ‘Control Pre-caching’
