Tried published solutions after lost media server access & still receiving 'not authorized...' error

Server Version#: 1.30.1.6497-5fc2e0894
Player Version#: 1.60.1.3413-533a7645

Problem
PMS show ‘Not Authorized…’ error.

Events leading up to error:

  • Desktop (dedicated home server) running the PMS was connected to a VPN while downloading video and photo files from a family member.
  • During this transfer, a PMS movie was accessed from an Apple TV 4k 2gen running the Plex app on the same network.
  • Download completed and VPN was disconnected.
  • After the VPN disconnected, the PMS paused the movie.
  • After a few moments the access was terminated to the Apple TV.
  • Subsequent investigation discovered ‘Not Authorized…’ error and hasn’t been restored since

This similar scenario has played out several times over the last 10 or so years without experiencing the terminated access and subsequent ‘not authorized…’ error.

To resolve the error, I believe I’ve tried most plausible forum recommended solutions including but not limited to:

  • Shut down & restart PMS, all players, and machines
  • confirm updated software on PMS and relevant host players
  • Deleted the appropriate entries in the Registry and the attempted reclaiming of the server still shows the same error.

I’ve deleted all current authorized devices except for the PMS itself for obvious reasons. I also haven’t gone through the application delete and reinstall for the same reason. I’m hoping to resolve without having to go through the setup process and everything.

Suggestions?

here are the server logs

So… nothing? That’s unfortunate. I recognize this topic is a sort of broken record: however, there aren’t any suggestions anywhere on what to do if none of the “traditional” solutions work. Hell, I’d take an “If all else fails…” type of solution.

Please delete the PMS server from your authorized devices and see ClaimPMS4Win You need to reclaim your server, but don't dare to touch the Windows Registry
