So I have seen these threads pop up from time to time and have looked through them and can not seem to resolve the problem I am having. I am hoping that I am missing something silly and will feel like an idiot when someone points it out.
So I have been adding music videos and concerts to for some of my music lately using the global folder method. Things have been work pretty well and I have been able to videos and concerts to a few different artists now, however there are two artists for the life of me that I can not get the videos/concerts to show up for.
Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried:
- Scan all libraries after adding files.
- Refresh the metadata for the artists that I have added videos for.
- Moving the files in and out of sub folders (artist folders under music video main folder).
- Changing permissions on sub folders to make sure that is not an issue.
- Restarting the server.
- Refresh metadata for the entire music library.
I have read the music video support article a couple of times to try to make sure I have not missed anything funny. I have made sure that I have added the appropriate identifier to the end of the file with no space ( -video.mp4, -concert.mp4 ). I have music for these artists in my library as well.
I feel like I should mention that if I watch the console logs on the server for the artists that the videos are showing up for, when I refresh metadata for them I can see lines stating something along the lines of “Extras: found extra - … - matched”, though for the artists that the videos do not show up for there is no mention of extras when refreshing their metadata.
I have also verified that the names of the root folders for the artist in both my music library and the global video folder are the same.
