For some reason I cannot install PLEX onto My laptop. (I have used it in the past but I switched to another server because of tech issues.) I have saved the log file and have attached it on here. I have used the cmd prompt to fix this same issue when I had problems installing Windows 10 updates. but it will not fix this. There are no residual files left in my computer from the last use of PLEX.

You used an “uninstaller” software, and/or a “registry cleaner”, right? If so: bad idea.

Thanks. The thing you tried me to fix it did not work as C:\ProgramData\Package Cache{763A44F9-11ED-4C90-B79F-01077108135B}v1.7.4035\pms.msi. could not be found.
The error is still the same, but apparently, the version number of the pms-shutdown.msi package is different now.

Rerences to pms-shutdown.msi are still in your registry, which makes the installation fail. You need to remove those references.
