Server Version 4.63.0:
Player Version 4.63.0:
I’ve had some trouble migrating my old mac Plex server to a new Synology NAS. I had things set up, but for some reason it wasn’t recognizing the new plex instance. I would open it in the Synology main menu and it would still point to the old server on my mac. So, I figured I had to remove it. I deleted everything plex from the mac after claiming the old server with a token through the NAS manual install. Somehow that got it working, but now I can’t access the old server at all.
I know the metadata from my old server is still there in the ether somewhere because when I log in on my PS4 I can see it even though the files aren’t there yet. They are on another hard drive waiting to be moved to the NAS.
So now I’ve got a new plex server set up on Synology with nothing in it, and my old server is visible too, but I can’t access it at all. The message simply is: “the serveris currently unavailable. Verify you have a network connection and that the server is online, or see our tips for further assistance.”
My question is, is there any way to obtain the metadata from my old server (what I had in my libraries, view history, etc.) and import it in the new server, or am I just screwed?
Thanks for any help you can provide!
