I had an old account with a friend’s shared libraries, I no longer have access to the email I used then. I have a new account and he shared his libraries again. I am using an ONN 4k plus with PLEX version 10.30.8.4222, I can not see his libraries. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps with no luck. (I cannot find a “more” menu) He suggested that the new version isn’t seeing his server and that I should try sideloading an older (i.e. 10.20.x.xx or 10.19.x.xx) without auto update, Can anyone help?
Move all the way to the left side. This should expand the left side bar from just icons to icons with names.
The “More…” item should be the second to last at the bottom of the side bar.
Did you actually connect the app to your plex.tv user account?
I installed the app & signed in, do I need to do something else?
On a PC, point a browser at app.plex.tv and login.
Can you see the libraries?
Yes, I see them on my phone, but not on the app on my streaming box
On the ONN box, log out of the Plex app, power off the ONN (pull the power plug from the back), wait 20 seconds, restore power, launch the Plex app, and log back in.
That will force the Plex client to re-authenticate with plex.tv. It should pick up the new libraries from your friend’s server.
Make sure you login with the new account, not the old one (just in case the old account is still saved in your browser)..
There should be three horizontal dots (More) immediately above Settings, to show you both your server and your friend’s server.
I’ve the same ONN box and it shows a server shared with me without any problems. Not sure why it is not working for you.
