I’ve shared almost all my libraries with my spouse. We run a Synology NAS here. She uses an Android Phone. Everything’s up to date and the server is remotely accessible. However none of the shared libraries show up on her phone. Where to start troubleshooting this?
Let’s check if the „missing“ libraries are listed in the More section of her sidebar
There is no More section in her sidebar.
Hmm. I don’t have an android phone, but I pulled up my iOS phone. Hopefully the UI isn’t different enough.
First, is does she use your account login, or does she have her own email/password? If the latter, did you invite her as a “friend”, or did you invite her “into the home”?
Assuming your spouse is using the Plex app itself on her phone, do you see the triple hamburger menu in the upper left? Should be next to the world “Home”. when you tap it, it should bring up a list of all the “pinned” video sources on the left. If this list has a bunch of stuff in it, swipe UP to get to the bottom of the list. Can you confirm there is no “More” bar in the bottom of this list?
Has her own account. I invited her as a friend and when that did not work right away ‘into the home’. She can now see the media, however her status in the admin is still ‘pending’.
That means she still has to “accept” your invitation.
Let her login with her plex credentials and go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/profile
Then press the button “Requests”.
