Just wanting to clarify the issue you’re still observing. Is this still the case where it’s a RDP session viewing LiveTV playback on web or is this now solely the Surface Pro viewing LiveTV playback on web? Still isolated to airings with multiple audio streams? What is the web version you are having the issue with?
Thank you for your response @Atomatth. To be sure, the only time I have had luck with streaming was with the Surface Pro. But that quickly dissipated the next time I tried it a week later. With the other methods (via RDP) it has never worked consistently since reporting this issue in 2020. I would say out of every 10 attempts, about 1-2 seem to work. So let’s call it ~15% of the time. ![]()
It does appear that channels with multiple audio streams is the culprit here, although it has been difficult to verify. Basically HD channels seem to experience this problem but other channels w/ lower resolution do not and always load fine.
As for the player version that is Version 4.80.0.
Please do let me know any further information that I can provide and I will do my best to assist you.
I may have some channels that are behaving similarly to your issue. Multiple audio streams and selecting a different audio stream may cause playback to stalk and eventually fail. Can you please try to enable Use alternate streaming protocol for video playback in Settings > Debug. I have had success with starting playback and selecting new audio streams with this setting enabled.
OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS after nearly two years of hounding on this issue there is FINALLY something that works!!! Thank you SO VERY MUCH @Atomatth you totally made my day with this. This is by far the longest I have had to nag an issue and now I can finally take it off my nag list.

I hate to ask, but… how long has this setting been just sitting there? ![]()
I hope you realize that this means you are getting a tag from now on when I have a plex problem.
(Fortunately this does not happen every often, however!)
Thank you again for getting me sorted here. ![]()
