Truehd support broken since April 6 update

TrueHD 7.1 has stopped working on my father’s Sony 4k Android tv since April 6th update. Since then a bunch of updates rolled out and I even tried the beta version 9.1 which didn’t solve the problem.

I had to rollback to a March client build in order to fix the problem. You got any idea how complicated that is to the average user? You need to disable automatic updates on the TV. Uninstall Plex. Find, and Download the version on a PC. Put it on a usb stick. Install a file manager in the TV, learn how to use that in order to install the right version. Thank God I have IT knowledge because no way my 77 years old father could have sorted this out and you broke half of his 4k library!

This is completely unacceptable. I’ve payed for the Plex pass and I’m really sad that I did, cause every now and then, Plex updates to a version that breaks something very important. Either that is on my Nvidia shield or to my Android tv. In Both platforms is very complicated to install previous versions which I really don’t understand why.

Please sort this out. I need to know when this will be fixed and not randomly having to update to each version to check if it’s fixed , and then roll back again if it’s not. At least make it easy to install previous versions via Google play!
