4K Playback Problem On Newer Versions Plex - Nvidia Shield TV Pro

Hi All, first post, hope you can help?

I am currently running Plex Media Server on a QNAP TS-653D NAS and mainly watch all my content on a Nvidia Shield TV Pro through gigabit LAN. Around the middle of March I started having issues playing 4K content (Direct Play on both Video and Audio), I was sure this was a network issue, however, rolling back to a previous version (8.25.0.28514) from Oct '21 all my 4K video’s play again without an issue?!.. I do keep trying later/newest versions every so often, however the above version is the latest one I’ve found that hasn’t given me any issues so far.

Any help would be much appreciated

Summary: Fall back to 8.30.2 (or earlier) or use the 9.1.latest beta release.

I’m pretty sure I had issues with V8.30.2.31202 as this was one of the first versions I tried being that it was released around 1st March? What I’m really struggling to get my head around is the reason I’ve had to roll back to a version much older than March, when the problem only arose then?
Anyway I have now installed V9.1.0.31883 and after a quick test it seems to have solved the problem?

Last working version for me: 8.31.2.31546. I have rollback to that version and all my 4K / Dolby Vision or HDR with TrueHD Atmos are working fine.

I’ve yet to fully test V9.1.0.31883, but that one seemed to be working for me. If not I’ll be sure to try V8.31.2.31546 next
