I am currently running Plex Media Server on a QNAP TS-653D NAS and mainly watch all my content on a Nvidia Shield TV Pro through gigabit LAN. Around the middle of March I started having issues playing 4K content (Direct Play on both Video and Audio), I was sure this was a network issue, however, rolling back to a previous version (8.25.0.28514) from Oct '21 all my 4K video’s play again without an issue?!.. I do keep trying later/newest versions every so often, however the above version is the latest one I’ve found that hasn’t given me any issues so far.
I’m pretty sure I had issues with V8.30.2.31202 as this was one of the first versions I tried being that it was released around 1st March? What I’m really struggling to get my head around is the reason I’ve had to roll back to a version much older than March, when the problem only arose then?
Anyway I have now installed V9.1.0.31883 and after a quick test it seems to have solved the problem?
