Running Plex on TrueNAS Scale.
Hardware is a self build based on a Topton N5105 NAS motherboard that’s has integrated i915 graphics.
No matter what I do, Plex is doing any transcoding in software.
TrueNAS has allowed access to the GPU for Plex. I can select the i915 GPU in Plex settings “Hardware transcoding device” as "JasperLake UHD Graphics).
However, if I get a file to transcode instead of direct play the CPU jumps straight to 100% and stays there.
Without GPU transcoding the CPU in this build does not have the grunt to handle any transcoding so getting this working is kind of important.
Anyone have any ideas?
