Trying to create several individual folders to show up on plex library

Issue: I am trying to create folders in a library of my plex server.

Explanation: I have a very particular use case I think. I have a synology nas and a “always on” pc to act as a fully equipped system server. I am a full time filmmaker and I would like to use plex normally with mall my movies as a server. At the same time I would like to use plex to watch my raw footage from hundreds of projects that are stored on my nas. I have plex media server on my pc that’s linked to the nas and getting the movies no problem. As far as my raw footage from filmmaking, on the library screen of plex it is just 12,000 clips organized on file name with no folders separating my many projects. I hqve been battling with chat got for the past 2 hours trying to break it down and showing screenshots to diagnose and try new settings to no avail.

I’m seeking help to see if there’s a solution to have folders in that library of archived footage.

You’ll probably need an „other video“ type library and display it by „Folder“ instead of „Movies“ (there’s a dropdown at the header of your library where you can set the filter and sort order which usually adds to something like „All Movies By Title“ — click on the „Movies“ part and select „Folder“ instead).
