I had started an account on my Mac and then decided to move everything over to my NAS. While trying to do this I have decided I need to start all over. I have tried to delete the account and have had no luck. I am signed into my account, went to settings, and clicked the delete account at the bottom. It asks for the password and when I enter it I get an invalid password.
You know that you don’t need a new account to setup a new server?
As for the invalid password… at the risk of sounding silly: have you verified you’re using the correct password of the account you’re trying to delete?
Yes, I am signed into the account and have used the same password.
You need to use the Plex password, not the one of your Apple account.
You have connected your Apple ID to your Plex account, and you probably use the Apple IP to sign in regularly.
But the deletion requires you to use the actual Plex password, I think.
That’s what I was thinking, but I don’t remember another password.
Then use an incognito browser window and go to plex.tv,
Sign IN, then use the “Forgot” (Password) link to set a new password.
Thanks OttoKerner. Worked. I was using the wrong login. Signing in with apple.
