Hello, I was hoping anyone could help me on my matter here with the Remote Access.
I tried to look at every possible Guide and Reddit post to connect my Plex but i don’t think i’m doing something correct, once i retry or Apply the connection it stays active and then Disconnects after 5-10s.
I tried Port-Forwarding and checking firewall on Windows. I’m stuck an could use someone from the Plex team to help me out or anyone is possible.
I’m doing this from the Web side also i just don’t know why it won’t stay connected and then just drops. either its a router thing or a windows issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
i can show everything needed trying mainly trying to understand why the connection drops. haven’t really messed with my routers interface but it may be something with that or something on the Windows side. any kind of help would be amazing so i can get a stable Remote access connection.
The Relay fallback on plex makes the content on my server look bad, so trying to understand why this happening.
Just to clarify a few things i’ve noticed (I don’t want to mess with certain options on my router i don’t know)
UPnP state | UPnP NAT-T state both these options are enabled
Tried to do a manual port forward as an addition everything i try doesn’t seem to work. i’m just stuck on this whole thing
Read that as „it doesn’t work to begin with“. The status is displayed as „accessible“ while Plex is still checking the remote access status.
There’s also a guide with some more details on how to troubleshoot remote access issues. The individual findings from that guide will be helpful if you cannot get it to work on your own (or to pin down what’s going wrong) — including a possible CGNAT situation.
