Trying to get .vob files to play

I have two dvd movies(.VOB files) and i followed a previous post and tried changing the format ending with MPEG but the files are not being picked up and i tried makeMKV and the files are not being detected even before the extension was changed. Here are both the screenshots. Please let me know. Thank you !!!

These are the .vob files which were changed

This is the makeMKV screen and i am unable to see the files even before the extensions were changed.

Server Version#:4.30.2

Select the *.ifo file. It contains the instructions how the vob files are to be chained together. Makemkv will use it to do its job.
The vob files must have their original file names though.

just changed all of them to original names and ripping them, thank you i will wait and see how it works

it worked thank you so much

Hello there, i downloaded a file and the file name is like this
Athadu (2005).Untouched DVD9.iDream

I went to makemkv and i tried converting but the file was not even showing. When i play it on VLC in the playlist, the files are all visible.

But they are all bundled into one with the above name, i tried changing to .mkv but didnt work. Any thoughts??

Point makemkv (File - Open Files) to the VIDEO_TS.ifo file.

i dont have multiple files like how its visible in the VLC player, when i try to play the above single file thats how its displayed IN VLC.

just a single file and when i try to play it thats how VLC displays the contents but outside in the folder its just one

I don’t know what an iDream file is. It might simply be an ISO.
Try changing the file name extension to iso, then open that with makemkv.
If that doesn’t work, you might have to google yourself.

this is how it looked when i downloaded

yeah idream is just the team who made the file, and let me try your way .

looks like changing it to .iso worked and i am able to extract the folder now

You don’t need to extract it. Open the iso with makemkv directly.

failed to open disc

File - Open files
change the filter in the bottom, right drop-down to .ISO

yes i did that before i sent the screenshot

had to extract and do it and it worked. THank you !!!
