Trying to turn on subtitles

I have opensubtitles checked in plex settings and searched on opensubtitles website and the titles I want are available BUT when I click on the subtitles option while the show is playing it displays Subtitles-None. How do I get them to display? thanks.

Have you confirmed that the movie is matched properly and that you’ve added your login info and language preference in the OpenSubtitle agent?

Plex gets the subtitles from OpenSubtitles at the time you add the item to your library. If you are not seeing a subtitle option, then it did not manage to find the subtitle when you added the movie. You can try to “refresh” that movie and see if the subtitle will be found.

If that doesn’t work, please provide me the full PMS log package after having performed the “refresh”.

Thank you for your help. I do have English selected as my lang pref in plex and OpenSub checked.
I named the series Vera S05E02 for example.
It looks like OpenSub should match.

Did a refresh but still no subtitles available. :>(
How do I get the PMS log package?

Is there a file with the same name as the movie in that folder

e.g. movie.eng.srt?

It is a TV series but each one uses the Vera S0xE0x format so they are all different names.

From Plex Web. Go to Settings \ Server \ Help \ Download Logs. You will get a zip file. Attach that zip file to your next comment.

Thank you! Should I play the series and try to turn on the subtitles and then send the log?Plex Media Server Logs_2018-08-27_10-55-25.zip (2.6 MB)

Ugh. Your TV show files are not organized properly. You have them all in 1 large folder. You need to restructure your files.

You have

E:\TVforPlex\Vera S01 E01.m4v

You need to do it as

E:\TVforPlex\Vera\Season 01\Vera S01E01.m4v

AHA! Okay, I set up the files as you suggested and I did a refresh, cleaned bundles and trash, took the series out and put it in again so it would do a new search on OpenSub but but still no subtitles.
Can you explain this from the logs:
2018-08-27 11:31:29,737 (1c64) : DEBUG (preferences:178) - Loaded the user preferences for com.plexapp.agents.opensubtitles

Has something gone wrong here?

Plex will validate your opensubtitle account and then obtain an access token. These tokens timeout and a new token is needed every so often. The above is just that sequence to obtain a new token. This is not a problem. Please provide me the entire log.

Thank you. Here is the latest log.Plex Media Server Logs_2018-08-29_16-53-52.zip (2.8 MB)
