Tuner issue or recording issue?

Setup: WIndows 10 running Plex server 1.10.0.4523 with WinTV-DualHD USB tuner.

I’ve had a plex pass for the past year. A couple of weeks ago I purchased a WinTV-DualHD usb tuner and setup an antenna so I could record OTA shows. I had some luck but from time to time I think I was having issues with the tuner getting “locked” or something and I needed to restart the Plex server. I thought it was locked because I wouldn’t be able to tune to any channel. Exiting out of the Plex server and starting again seemed to fix the issue.

Tonight I noticed none of the recordings that should show up in the “recently added” area were added. I looked at the recording schedule and it showed about four programs being recorded (some from much earlier in the day). None of the shows showed up in the “recently added” section, except, perhaps, one.

I restarted the Plex server (not the computer) and it started recording once again.

Is this a bug? Is it an issue with my setup? I would like to know that Plex records, or at least know that it has stopped for some reason.

I looked through the forums, but couldn’t figure out if this was a known issue or not. Thanks!

The same thing is happening to me today. Some sitting in the .grab folder.

Had the same thing happen today…it recorded most of the shows, but there were two recordings simultaneously that ended early. Had the files in the .grab folder, but neither one finished recording. I now see others having similar issues it seems.

Seems like this may be an ongoing, known issue.
