Almost all of the shows my DVR is recording are picking up a version of the audio where a narrator describes what is happening on screen. doing a little bit of research I believe this is a feature for the visually impaired called descriptive video service (DVS). I can’t find anything in the setting…

This recording should have more than one audio stream. You only need to select the other audio stream to get the right audio.

Seems similar to my problem. i have also seen the descriptive audio issuse. Seems related to picking wrong audio track.
