Whenever I’m watching a livestream (which is 80% of the usage) the alternative audio stream of Descriptive Audio (narrator describing onscreen actions) or the Spanish version of the language plays. I have to go into playback settings, switch to spanish (even though it’s playing spanish, and selected english) then switch back to english to get it to work properly. Same goes for descriptive audio/narration, I have to switch to spanish then back to english to get the proper audio track. Streaming directly from hdhome with other apps, like ffmpeg or the hdhomerun app the correct audio stream plays. My plex account settings are manually set to English.
Since it’s doing either spanish or descriptive audio, it seems like some sort of preference is not being adhered to or getting overridden. The default language on all my devices is set to english, not “auto” or “from host operating system”
Is there anyway I can disable the Audio Description/Descriptive Video Service completely? Can I disable spanish completely? All alternatives completely?
This has been going on for months and I can not figure out how to make it stop and has made plex almost useless for me.
The issue exists on android tablet, and android phone. Linux plex-desktop client works as expected and does not have the issue. The Android systems are set for English and not any Auto select.
At this moment, all content on SyFy and USA are playing the audio description/narration. But live stream of american football on CBS is choosing spanish, but football on FOX is fine.
Any tips on how I can get this to work as expected again?
