TV collections having playerror issue while loading items but Movie Collections work fine

As the title states I am having issues with TV collections. Every time I try to play any collection in either of my TV show libraries (I have two, Live Action and Animated) will have a Playerror: An error occurred loading items to play on the web player, on the android app the player opens but the episode or even episode list dont load. The collections in my 2 movies libraries have no issues, the collections load and play fine. I tried rebuilding the database and even removing my database, starting a new library and creating a new collection and I got the same error. Any suggestions on what I can do? I think I may have to reinstall Plex.

EDIT: So I tried reinstalling plex, didnt fix the issue. I tried making a whole new plex media server metadata folder and that didnt work.

I’m seeing the same thing. Clicking Play on a TV Collection in Plex Web fails, but playing an individual item within the collection works fine.

Ya I even went back to updates from Feb and still had the issue. But ya plays fine if I just pick one show in the collection and movies are fine too.

Yea i’ve been having this exact issue a lot. i think something happens in the collection library. do you ever manually add/delete content to the collections? I bundle a series into a collection if it doesnt’ properly group. It’s either that or when i delete/rename a collection its not updating properly in the DB and become corrupt.

U can let the whole thing rebuild and it will work but im not sure what causes this erroneous consistent repeatable error. You’ll probably end up in the same boat i was good for awhile then it started doing it again after several chunk of content over time.

There is a thread indicating the developer team may be aware of it

So maybe a fix sometime down the line.

I am having this same issue. Was there ever a fix. Movie collections work great. TV Collections get the circle of death. I have made this awesome go to bed mix of sitcoms and would love for this to work.

I just tried and it seems to be working fine.

Evil, Make sure you update to the latest version of Plex. Mine fixed after the lastest updates patched/installed. Prior had been a persistent headache. All my TV Show collections are running without that annoying error.
