Hi, I created a Collection called Nature Documentaries and I can see that 15 shows were added and can individually play items either through the show or the episode just fine, just cannot play it via the collection and get error “An error occurred loading items to play”. If I try to export this collection to a playlist, no items are exported. For other playlists, they export just fine and I can see the episodes.
Would there be any reason why I can see and browse the shows and episodes in the Collection but cannot play the collection itself? Are there any logs that can help troubleshoot why the collection appears empty but is not?
Very strange issue and haven’t seen this before and definitely seems like a bug
UPDATE: Seems to be happening for documentary TV shows and episodes only as all other collections appear to be working.
I’ve been moving my music into a library on my Plex server and ran into the same error message when trying to play Collections I’m creating there. I can work-around by going to the Library → Collections sort and playing it that way and I tested making a TV show collection and it brought up the same error so I figure this may be related. My Movies collections seem to work fine though. Since it seems related, I just wanted to chime in and let you know it may be affecting more than just TV shows. Glad to see a fix may already be on the go though. Thanks!
I’m also getting this error “An error occurred loading items to play.” when I attempt to play a Collection of music from my library. This only recently started happening. I can play individual songs and albums just fine, but attempting to play a collection always results in an error. Any workarounds and or fixes to this issue? I just upgraded my server to “PlexMediaServer-1.25.2.5319-c43dc0277-x86_64_DSM7.spk” hoping this would fix the issue and ever rebuild all the metadata for my Music library. No luck.
